Farewell - Petra

| | Comments (0)

Petra is a Christian rock band I've liked for a long time. Got into them originally back in 1992. In 2005 I discovered their 2003 studio album (Jekyll & Hyde), and it was fabulous. Absolutely great rock album.

Anyway, it was decided that as of December 31, 2005, Petra would be no more. They've been on a farewell tour for awhile now, and the "Farewell" album is a document of that. This album covers quite the length of their career (around 30 years, if I remember right). They even got an appearance from their original lead singer Greg X. Volz to join with current singer John Schlitt (actually, he's been there since around 1990 or so) on a few tracks.

If you're a Petra fan, it's worth picking up. It's my only live Petra album.

I received this as a Christmas present in 2005 from my wife.
