Thriller Special Edition - Jackson, Michael

| | Comments (1)

Well, this album is from 1982 originally, but I jumped at the chance to pick up this redone version. Thriller is one of the best albums I've heard in my lifetime, and a new version with some extra stuff was right up my alley. A lot of people think it's weird that I like things like Black Sabbath, Metallica, and the like, and like things like Michael Jackson. All I can say is a good song is a good song - and there are lots of good songs on this album.

I agree with you, I get those same eyebrows raised when I mention KISS, Van Halen, Aerosmith and Michael Jackson in the same sentence of music I like (it gets worse when I mention Prince or The Time).
I don't see how anyone cannot like Thriller, it had everything. It had some rock element (Beat It), Smooth R&B (Billie Jean) and some mainline Pop (Thriller), Soft Rock (Say Say Say) and some ballads. (I think that Say Say Say can also fall under backstabbing too... Another story)

I think Thriller is great, and because it's so great alot of people over look his following work. I just hope the guy now that he's beaten the charges that have nagged at him for so long, that he can get back to writing some good music.
