Inhuman Rampage (2006)

This album's path to my collection is not one I usually take. I was flipping around the radio dial on my XM radio in the truck, and ran across a song on the Liquid Metal channel entitled "Through the Fire & Flames". I was really into it. So I looked into it when I got home, and saw the full album for sale on iTunes for $7. I bought it. I rarely ever do that.

The album itelf is quite different. It's got the speed and power of a thrash/doom/black metal band, but it doesn't have the horrendous "growl vocals" that usually accompany such music. That alone made it worthy of a purchase. Nothing worse than a good song being totally ruined by those stupid Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr vocals that sound exactly the same on every single song. If you want an example of what I'm talking about, click here.

Anyway, it's a really good album - my only complaint is that they play really fast, and it's hard to listen to the entire album in one go, as it ends up feeling like one 40 minute long song.

NOTE: I do not have an actual CD for this, I bought it electronically over iTunes.
