Original Television Soundtrack - Doctor Who
I've been a huge Doctor Who fan for a very long time. It may very well be my all time favorite TV show. I have quite a boatload of Doctor Who CD's, but most of them are European imports, and are audio versions of lost TV shows from the 1960's - really fiddly stuff, and since there's so many of them, I never bothered listing them here, as my descriptions would be just one line, really. Perhaps one day when I'm supremely bored.
Anyway, when the show returned in 2005, it returned with something it never really had before - supremely good music. Oh sure, the old show had great pieces here and there, but never was uniform in it's quality of music. The new show has a level of music quality that was never heard before, so it was nice that after the 2006 series (the second since the show returned), they put out a soundtrack. Obviously with about 28 episodes or so, they can't include everything, but they did include most of the major musical sequences so far. There's a lot of good stuff, and I thank Murray Gold for creating all this stuff.
Not a lot to say here, but what can you say? It's a TV series soundtrack CD. :) You either like the music, or you won't.
