DJ Jazzy Jeff & the Fresh Prince

Greatest Hits (1998)

Well, this CD pretty much covers the rest of the Fresh Prince music I like. Most of what I like from the "He's the DJ" album is on here, too, there's lots of other things, including some of their funny songs (I think I can beat Mike Tyson), as well as the theme song to the Fresh Prince TV series, and the Men In Black theme. I also grew to like Will Smith as a movie actor, too, so the "hometown connection" with Will Smith really works for me. Especially since he's proud to say he's from Philadelphia.

I noticed in doing this page that the Greatest Hits album was released exactly 10 years after the "He's the DJ" album. I guess that means they have to release something on May 19, 2008. :)

He's the DJ, I'm the Rapper (1988)

As these guys are from Philadelphia, and I am too, I heard them on the radio a lot back home. I don't consider myself a big rap fan, and back in the 80's I was dead set against rap. However, these guys worked for me. Probably because their music isn't "F this and F that" every other word. Good stuff here. Also, a co-worker I liked back in a job I had back in 1988 also liked them, so I like it from a "Hey, this guy was a friend of mine" standpoint, too.
