Cage, The

After listening to the first Cage CD several times over the few years it had been out, I always hoped that there would be a followup, and there was. In 2002, Tony & Dario released a second Cage project. This one wasn't as good as the first, but there's some very listenable stuff here. If you liked the first one, you should probably pick this up, too. In addition to the regular version, I have a promo copy of the album send to me by Dario Mollo himself.

When I got this, I had no idea who Dario Mollo was. He's an Italian guitarist in the mold of Joe Satriani/Steve Vai, except Mollo is more an AOR guitarist than these guys are. Anyway, the real reason I got this was Tony Martin - former lead singer of Black Sabbath. Dario's guitar is a nice complement for Tony's voice - it's a very melodic, yet metal album. Worth a listen - especially if you like 90's era Black Sabbath.
