What is this page? It's the main page of a much deeper section which details every CD I own. For some time now, I've been managing my DVD collection online here. I've been thinking for awhile that I wish someone had the same kind of thing available for CD's. Well, I thought "Duh! - I can do something myself for my collection online". So here we are.
When I started this, I had the idea that I was going to use this process to weed out some I don't want to keep anymore. I also wanted to comment on all of the CD's too (as a way of discovering some CD's I enjoyed in the past but have forgotten about). These are the kinds of things webmasters do when they're bored. Make websites that probably most people won't give a crap about. :) The reason I did this was because I get a lot of people asking me what music I have in my collection. I actually used to have about double this amount of CD's, but over the years have sold off several that I lost interest in - I've whittled it down to things I really like (for the most part), and not CD's that I only like one or two songs from.
Still, I get a lot of people asking to see what's in my CD collection, so here goes (and for the hell of it, I have purchase links to anything I can through Amazon.com):
I sort my CD's in alphabetical order by band name, and then within band name, by year of release, so that's how they are organized here. You can select by band from the column to the right. Below are the most recent additions to the site.
If you want to see some really up to the moment stuff I've been listening to (aka mp3s), check out this link over at audioscrobbler/Last.fm. Additionally, there's an automated image to the left that shows you the Top 10 artists I've listened to in the past week via mp3's and how many tracks by them I've listened to.
