Baby Update

Have another baby update. :)

The other day I received the first of my shower presents - it was an early one from my brother, he had bought my wife and I a stroller combo. A really nice one too. I have a cousin who lives in Jamaica, and when my brother and his wife were down there visiting them recently, my brother saw them with their baby in it's stroller. He said it worked so well, he wanted to be the one to make sure we got that exact unit. So he did, it was a most kind gift. You got a stroller and a car seat, and they can hook together. Plus the unit feels sturday, which is important to me. I don't mind paying the extra money for something that will make me feel that my child won't go careening out of control in some cheap piece of crap.

Anyway, I don't have any pictures of it, but if you visit this link, you can see the stroller listed on Amazon.com, where if you click on the picture of the thing in the main listing, you can see about 6 or 7 other pictures.

But the biggest part of putting it together (which I was able to do myself Ed & Bryan) was that once it was done, I had to test out the wheels. Lynn was reading in bed at that time, so I wheeled it into show her that it was finished. It was at that point that I had an "Oh my god!" moment. I was wheeling a baby cart. Yes, I know my wife has gotten larger being pregnant. Yes, I know that we already have a piece of furniture for our daughter. However, the furniture is, let's face it - a dresser. There's nothing about it that really says "BABY!". However, the baby stroller is for one thing only. Pushing around a baby. The fact that I was doing that was a powerful moment for myself. I had some physical concrete proof in front of me that I could touch with my own hands that says "I'm gonna be a father!".

Teared up a bit when I thought that.
